After Midnite With Blair Gardner

A Note from Charlie

Hi Double D Nation,

Here’s a little bit about me.  I've worked at a couple radio stations in Seattle... I did my college internship at KMPS then moved to Bremerton and worked at Kitsap Country KBRO to “cut my teeth”. KMPS hired me again where I was dubbed the Sweetheart of Late night Radio... My last job is the only station that wasn't at a Country Station... KLSY was 80's and 90’s. I was the DJ for the request and dedication show called Lights Out. Then I moved here and became part of the Good Morning Gang with Dewey...

My husband Brian, daughter Grace and I live close to town but in the “country”. With 2 dogs~ Willy and Clark and 2 horses Girlfriend and Trixie. Gracie of course is the hi-light of our lives. It is so much fun to watch her grow up and learn new things… Brian is a great Dad! He takes care of her in the morning and gets her ready to go to the babysitter so I can be on the air early in the morning. So she has plenty of Father-Daughter time. We are working on our first thousand pictures of her.

My other hobby is pottery (but like horseback riding I don’t have a lot of time for it right now with a baby to take care of). My favorite movie is The Color Purple. My favorite Pizza is Pepperoni with Black Olive and Mushrooms. I'm a good cook. I don't really like rules. I'm a take charge, go get em’ kind of gal. I love purses. I always wanted to be a cheerleader but never made the team. I love to have fun. I don't drink as much as Dewey says I do but I do enjoy a good party... I like to say the party is where ever I am.

This was the first year that I created the “Charlie’s Little Angels” March for Babies Team. 10 Mom’s or Dad’s with babies in Strollers walked to raise money for the March of Dimes we raised over $1800 our first year. The March of Dimes pledges to make sure that one day every baby in Yakima will be born healthy. Right now in Yakima the rate of pre-mature babies born is astonishing! If you’d like to join next years team email me and we’ll get you set up. We ask that you be an adult that will walk with a baby in a stroller and set a goal to raise $200. It’s a great cause… and if you’ve had a baby you know how important it is that your baby be born with a good healthy start in life.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me better!
Email me sometime,

Charlie
