Since 2014 the Sunnyside Events Committee has organized the Kids Lighted Christmas Parade.This has been a fun, family oriented event that keeps growing in popularity with as many as 200 kids attending the parade in 2023. This event is absolutely FREE to families and community members.
Children and their families have the opportunity to create their take on the “best” lighted Christmas parade entry then stroll down 6th street with their festive looking bikes, wagons, ATVs or even on foot, with spectators cheering them on.
Our mission for the Kids Lighted Christmas Parade is to provide a fun, jovial, safe space to showcase the youth of our community. Sunnyside is known for the annual Lighted Farm Implement Parade. The Kids Lighted Christmas Parade is a kickoff to this event exclusive to children ages 14 and under on Friday, December 6, 2024.
