There is a lot of information covering a lot of areas so we have highlighted the sections we believe pertain to small businesses like yours. We also highlighted the individual compensation because we have fielded many questions about it.”

WA Department of Commerce Relief Funds
Yakima County will be receiving $187,000 in rural county relief funds. The funds cover a variety of needs including small businesses. More information can be found at this LINK

SBA Loans:
Long term loans for a variety of needs to get you through the crisis. Rates: business = 3.75%; non-profits = 2.75%. All businesses in All counties are eligible. You can set up a one-on-one consultation session through Yakima County Development Association by filling out this form:

SharedWork Program
SharedWork: This program allows employers to reduce the hours of permanent and hourly-paid employees by as much as 50 percent, and the employees can collect partial unemployment benefits to replace a portion of their lost wages. While on the SharedWork program, employees are not required to make an active search for work. You must apply to participate in the program. The application and instructions can be found here

Emergency Paid Leave
The federal government has just passed legislation to provide added relief to employers and employees including the Family Medical Leave Act and Expansion Act. Details are found here.
